MARK'S PUB CROWNED SA'S REALEST ONE-HANDED FOOD LEGEND AT WINDHOEK REAL FOOD MARKET
Mzansi didn’t just vote – they showed up.
After weeks of nationwide buzz and more than 25,000 public votes, the Windhoek Real Food Market brought South Africa’s Top 5 Realest One-Handed Food Legends together for a full-day celebration of flavour, music and culture at the Kromdraai Creativity & Impact Hub in Johannesburg.

The finalists – Disoufeng (Soweto), Chaf Pozi (Soweto), Mark's Pub & Shisanyama (Pretoria), Boipelo’s Kitchen (Mobile Kitchen) and Sasko’s Kitchen (Vosloorus) – served up the dishes that earned them street cred and national recognition. From kasi classics to city favourites, guests indulged in the kind of meals best enjoyed with one hand… because the other was holding an ice-cold Windhoek.

The purpose of the day was simple: great food, great drinks, and discovering the real food spots that bring people together across the country. But there was serious prize money on the line.
With live voting taking place on the day, attendees had the final say in crowning the ultimate winner of the R200,000 grand prize.
And the people voted.

Mark's Pub & Shisanyama from Pretoria emerged victorious, walking away with a whopping R200,000 and the title of South Africa’s Realest One-Handed Food Legend.
More than a competition, the Windhoek Real Beer, Real Food campaign proved that when it comes to authentic flavour and real moments, Mzansi always shows up.
