THULI P EXPANDS HER TALENT AND BRANCHES INTO MUSIC

Actor, DJ, and now Artist Thuli Phongolo, known as Thuli P to her supporters, is officially venturing into music after a successful DJ’ing career and continued demand for original music from her.

Starting her journey in the entertainment industry at a tender age of fifteen on SABC 1’s hit series Tshisa, full of passion, coupled with an eagerness to learn and a willingness to grow, paved way to opportunities of presenting on Craz-e, and securing lead roles on shows like Thula, gained massive public recognition after joining the iconic local TV soap Generations, to then progressively joining Mzansi Magic’s Makoti, The Republic, Rockville and The Wife. Each project has contributed in shaping her craft and gave a whole new deepened respect for storytelling.

In 2017, her love for music lured her to DJ’ing, a move that would bring a big change in her creative career. From being mentioned on popular songs to featuring in some, it was only natural that she would evolve into creating her own music. October 31st marks the release of her first-ever single titled #HaiSuka. ‘HAI SUKA’ is the lead single from her upcoming EP #Avana, featuring songstresses Nia Pearl and Leandra Vert. The song tells a story of an empowered woman taking control of her life. A song that encourages women to be themselves, to be bold, to be strong, and to celebrate who they are. To be that woman, be HER.

Thuli’s music catalogue will be released under her recently established company, AVANA Records. This will be a home for her music journey, with her first EP #Avana as a token of celebration for this new chapter. The project will be released soon, and more information will be shared via her social media platforms.
